I was there just this Saturday , right after the River-dance show in Rosemont theater and there was a birthday party with a dj , in lent it is unusual to see Poles dancing but they had a good time , drinking and dancing any-who , I was there with my friends and we ordered food - I got a kebob , and my friend got Zapiekanka - like pizza bread - it was good - maybe not great , but good and the price was good too it is a polish joint so some snobby Americans especially high-maintenance females from nothshore may feel " uncomfortable " we all had fun although most did not drink %

This was our best experience yet...server sweet and attentive. Food amazing...had the polish sausage, perogies, and pizza bread. Excellent - can't wait to go back.

A nice Polish place with authentic Polish and Hungerian food. This bar is nice looking and has an upper restaurant part that looks fabulous. The service was good and food excellent in this place that looks more bar but is in fact more restaurant with an emphasis on food. I would encourage all Polish people in the area to check out this place.

OMG - I love love love their kebab plates. They are absolutely delicious, and their "secret" sauce makes the whole meal. Can't wait to go back there again soon!

Totu has some really excellent Polish food, but we won't be returning. I'm not sure if we arrived at an off time, but the only server was also running the bar, which was awkward and just made our group --the only ones in the dining room -- feel unwelcome. She spoke about as much English as we spoke Polish so I can let some of the service confusion slide, but honestly she missed out on some very basic things-- only serving one couple at a time, letting half the table have their food a full 15 minutes before the other half got our meals, etc. It seemed this place doesn't want to be a restaurant. We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night, which seemed a reasonable dinner time for us. The food took *forever* and our server kept getting very, very confused. It took almost 45 minutes to settle our checks and we came very close to simply walking out. That said, the food was really yummy. I had the Hungarian pancake and the goulash reminded me of my grandmother's. The pierogi were good but I prefer mine seared after they're boiled, and the potato pancakes were tasty. My husband's kebab was extremely overcooked. But the prices were fair and since we had a group of 6 friends, we were able to talk and visit during the long stretches of downtime. Overall, good food couldn't save this place for us. It's a local bar; it's simply not a restaurant.

Totu kebabs are Chicago-famous. I learned what good pierogi tastes like here and what Zapiekanki is (Polish pizza which is better than pizza) and tasted red and white borscht for the first time. ToTu Cafe offers karaoke DJ sets and live bands on the weekends. The restaurant/bar is welcoming inside and is run by a great community of family and friends.

I have been to this cafe twice. The first time I came in the evening on a Friday night for a dinner. The food was good, service was very very slow. The second time I came here I came during lunch. I walked in and the place was very dark and there was not a soul around. I heard talking somewhere and finally I said hello and a man came out and told me to have a seat and his wife would be out. Finally the lady came out and took my order. I ordered some chicken breasts croquette type of entree. I was so disappointed. Not only was the chicken tough as leather and hard to swallow but it took the lady FOREVER to serve me. There was only one other person out on the patio. If you are interested for food, dont come here. If you are interested in music and dancing then come here, but forget about the food. It was awful.

Very fun place with good prices. Fun weekend entertainment often available. If you want to get together with your friends for birthday it is a good place to hang out and have a great time.
